Full Form of JEE : Full Form of JEE is Joint Entrance Examination.

What is the full form of JEE?

No:1. The full form of JEE is the Joint Entrance Examination.
No:2.  It is a national level entrance exam for engineering courses that takes place every year throughout India and conducted by NTA.
No:3. JEE is a exam that helps students to secure a seat in different engineering colleges, depending on their rank (or score) in this exam.
No:4. It consists of two different tests which are given below:
a). JEE Main
b). JEE Advanced

In Past, the AIEEE test was conducted for enrollment in India’s engineering colleges but is now replaced by the JEE-Main examination and IIT-JEE has become the JEE-Advanced exam. Candidates passing the JEE Main examination will participate in the JEE Advanced Test.

Eligibility criteria for JEE exam :

For JEE main exam :

No:1. The main criteria for this test is to have obtained marks in class 12th (10+2) (CBSE, ISC, board, etc.) of at least 75 %.
No:2. Otherwise, students should be in the top 20 percentile of their Class 12th (10+2) examination undertaken by their committee.
No:3. The eligibility requirements for SC or ST candidates are to obtain scores of at least 65 % in their Class 12th (10+2) board exams.

For JEE Advance test :

No:1. A student must get a rank of less than 2,24,000 in JEE Main exam to be eligible for JEE Advanced.
No:2. Only those applicants would have an opportunity to gain a seat in IIT colleges for B.tech courses.

Structure of JEE examination is :

No:1. It is composed of two exams (a). JEE Main and(b). JEE advanced.
No:2. The JEE Advanced exam is regarded as one of the toughest entrance exam for the undergraduate level.
No:3. JEE Main is the eligibility exam that allows candidates to appear in JEE advance exam and ultimately leads to the enrollment into NITs, IITs, etc.
No:4 JEE Main exam is conducted twice a year and the number of admission attempts in a specific academic session is assumed as one.
No:5. Candidates can choose one paper or both.
No:6. It is a online mode exam.
No:7. The duration of this examination is 3hours, composed of 3 papers. Paper 1st  consists of 30 MCQs (Multiple choice questions) related to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. There is a negative score in the exam for the wrong answer .
Paper 1st  is for the BE and B.Tech enrollment while Paper 2nd  is for the B.Arch enrollment and Paper 3rd  for the B.Planning courses.
No:8. Students can participate for the 3 consecutive years for the JEE Main exam but can only attend for 2 consecutive years for JEE Advanced exams.
The passing scores are :
a). For General category – 81
b). For OBC- 49
c). For SC – 32
d). For ST – 27 and
e). For PWD – 1

The cut-off score for JEE main is decided by the exam conducting body NTA (National Testing Agency) and it varies depending on the category such as General, OBC, SC & St and PWD.
