What is the full form of DJ?

Types of DJ

There are several types of Disc Jockey depending on their workplace. Following are some types:

No:1. Radio DJ

a). These are also known as Radio Jockey or Radio Personality.
b). They introduce and play music which is broadcaste on AM, FM and Internet radio stations.
c). They play tracks from a set playlist provided by the ratio station.
d). Such playlists usually focus on specific audience and music genre.
e). They also take calls of listeners if required based on the format of the program.

No:2. Club DJ

a). The well known name is DJ.
b). These are use to play music, party songs and remix songs with their own creativity in the party halls, pubs and clubs.
c). They usually play dance songs to get people on their feet.
d). They also play songs requested by the audience and according to the mood of the audience.

No:3. Mobile DJ

a). They travel with portable sound systems and play recorded music at various occasions such as weddings and high school or college functions.
b). They usually have their own sound system (mics, speakers, DJ decks) that they usually bring with them to the functions.
