No:1. The full form of IFFCO is Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited.
No:2. It is one of the most prominent cooperative multi-state societies globally, entirely operated by the Indian Cooperatives.
No:3. It began with only 57 cooperatives in 1967 and is currently an integration of approximately 35,000 Indian cooperatives carrying over 50 million Indian farmers with a wide variety of business interests, including insurance products, rural telecommunications, about its core fertilizer production and sales sector.

The main goal of the IFFCO

The main intentions of the IFFCO are listed below :
No:1. To increase farmers ‘ income via the improvement of crop productivity.
No:2. To maintain the physical state of the community and to make things useful.
No:3. The economically significant and well-established building of cooperative societies.
No:4. To encourage rural India by providing farmers with skilled quality service and developing their agricultural practices.

Vision of IFFCO

No:1. IFFCO’s purpose is to enable and accredit Indian farmers to grow and flourish by providing sufficient, reliable and excellent agricultural information and services in a reasonable time and to run services to improve quality of life.

Plants

No:1. Kalol, Gujarat: Commissioned in 1975 and expanded in 1997, it produces ammonia (1100 MTPD) and urea (1650 MTPD).
No:2. Kandla, Gujarat: Commissioned in 1975 and first expanded in 1981 and again in 1999, it produces NPK (10:26:26, Capacity 520,000 MTPD), NPK (12:32:16; Capacity 700,000 MTPD), NP (20:20:0:13), DAP (18:46:0; Capacity 1,200,000 MTPD) and water-soluble fertilisers.[7] No:3. Phulpur, Uttar Pradesh: Commissioned in 1981 and expanded in 1997, it produced ammonia (9.7 lakh MT) and urea (17 lakh MT).
No:4. Aonla, Uttar Pradesh: Commissioned in 1988 and expanded in 1996, it produced ammonia (1740 MTPD) and urea (1515 MTPD).
No:5. Paradeep, Odisha: Taken over in 2005, it produces phosphoric acid (8,75,000 MTPA), sulphuric acid (23,10,000 MTPA), NPK (10:26:26), NPK (12:32:16), NP (20:20:0:13) and DAP (18:46:0) grade of fertilisers.
