Full Form of MNC : Multinational Corporation
What is the full form of MNC?
No:1. MNC stands for Multinational Corporation.
No:2. It refers to a company which is operating in two or more countries and managed from one country where it is headquartered.
No:3. It is also called as multinational enterprise (MNE), stateless corporation or transnational corporation.
No:4. An MNC may have its offices and factories in different countries, but its head office or headquarter is usually located in the country of origin.
No:5. East India Company is an example of one the earliest MNCs which visited India in the 17th century.
No:6. Today there are a number of renowned MNCs across the world such as Coca Cola, Pepsi Co, Microsoft, Apple Inc., Samsung, Infosys, and Nike Inc., etc.

No:2. It produces goods at a large scale following the international standards.
No:3. MNC focuses on the mass production of goods and services which minimizes the cost of production.
No:4. It allows MNC to provide products or services to people of host country at reasonable prices.
No:5. It generates employment in the host country. People can work in the production department, finance department and administrative department, etc.
No:6. It contributes to the government revenue as it pays income tax and various other taxes like GST and export duty, etc.
No:7. It helps maintain balance in the trade of the host country.
No:8. It helps minimize import from other countries by producing products which may be a good substitute for the items imported by the host country.
No:9. Similarly, surplus products of an MNC can be export to other countries.
Disadvantage
No:1. As we know an MNC produces goods or provides services at a large scale at low cost using modern technology and sells at low price, so it is a threat for the companies of the host country which are not able to produce similar products at low cost and sell these products at higher price.
