The main components of DSLR (digital single-lens reflex cameras) are:

Working principles of DSLR

No:1. In DSLR light enters the camera through the prism and hits the reflex mirror.
No:2. The reflex mirror reflects the light vertically upwards to the focusing screen.
No:3. Light passes through the focusing display and reaches the block of glass that is penta prism.
No:4. The penta prism focuses the light through 2 different mirrors and then diverts it to the viewfinder.
No:5. The viewfinder offers viewers a live picture preview.
No:6. The reflex mirror now flips upwards after users press the button to capture an image and prevents the vertical path of light to hold it straight towards its image sensor.
No:7. The shutter will open and the light will enter the image sensor.
