What is the full form of CPT?

No:1. The full form of CPT is Common Proficiency Test.
No:2. It is an entry-level exam conducted for enrollment to the Charted Accountancy course by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
No:3. It is also recognized as CA-CPT.
No:4. It is a mandatory examination to become an ICAI (Institute of Charted Accountant of India) member.

Eligibility requirements for CPT

No:1. An applicant who has cleared 10th class may enrol themself in the Institute of Charted Accountant of India.
No:2. But if the candidate wishes to participate in the CPT test, he must have to complete at least the 12th level or equivalent study in the recognized university.
No:3. The CA CPT registration charge & tuition charges are submitted during the fully filled application form submission.
No:4. The payment for the application form is 600 rupees, which can be downloaded from the website www.icai.org. It is an official website.

Information about CPT examination

No:1. In June & December, CPT is usually performed. Commerce graduates are exempt from the CPT, including other graduates and post-graduates.
No:2. Get the direct entry into the IPCC, the second level of Chartered Accountancy (CA) Exams, and they only need to have the appropriate percentage of the score.

CA CPT Course Subjects

The main subjects in the CA CPT Course that you have to prepare are listed below :
No:1. General Economics
No:2. Fundamental of Accountancy
No:3. Merchant Law
No:4. Quantitative Aptitude

Result Dates

No:1. CPT Result is declare in the month of July and January.
No:2. June exam’s result is declare during 12–20 July and December exam’s result is declare during 12–20 January.

Exemption

No:1. But with effect from 3 August 2012, CPT is exempt for the Graduates, Post Graduates and the students having equivalent degrees.
No:2. Commerce graduates with 55% and other graduates with 60% can take direct admission for IPCC.
