BODMAS FULL FORM
Full Form of BODMAS : Bracket, of, Division, Multiplication, Addition and Subtraction
What is the full form of BODMAS?
No:1. BODMAS stands for Bracket, of, Division, Multiplication, Addition, and Subtraction.
No:2. It refers to the order of operations to solve an expression.
No:3. It is also known as Bodmas rule, which tells which process to perform first to evaluate a given numerical expression.
No:4. It is also known as PEDMAS : Parentheses, Exponents, Division, Multiplication, Addition and Subtraction.
No:5. It is easy to solve a basic summation which has two numbers and one single operation, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division.
No:6. But if there are many numbers and different operations in an expression they how will you decide from where to start and which operation to perform first, which to perform second and third and so on.
No:7. For such expressions, we need BODMAS, as it clears the confusion and tells us the right sequence of operations: Division, Multiplication, Addition, and Subtraction.

For example
20 x 5 + 40/2 = ?
Using BODMAS rule, in the above expression, first we need to perform division, followed by multiplication, and then addition. Such as:
40 / 2 = 20
20 x 5 = 100
100 + 20 = 120, so the answer is 120
How Does the BODMAS Rule Help to Solve Complex Summations?
No:1. The full meaning of the BODMAS rule tells you to solve the issues with brackets then followed by Of.
No:2. After that, you can start dividing the numbers.
No:3. After that, multiply the number with the quotient and then add the next number.
No:4. In the end, you will get the answer after you subtract the remaining number from the received sum.
The Importance of BODMAS Rule
No:1. While solving a complex summation, it is not always possible to remember the actions according to the series.
No:2. But if you remember the term ‘BODMAS’, it will make you remember the exact series following which you are meant to solve the problem.
No:3. For example, if you accidentally multiply a number before dividing, you will end up receiving an incorrect result.
What to Do if There is No Bracket in the Summation?
No:1. If there is no bracket in your summation, then you can omit the ‘B’ from the BODMAS meaning and then apply the rest of the rule as directed.
No:2. Else, if you realize that there is no multiple sign in between you can skip that apart and start addition.
No:3. There is no doubt that this rule is simple and easy-to-apply. Hence, before your math exam make sure to remember this rule.
What Will Happen if You Don’t Apply the BODMAS Rule?
No:1. If you don’t apply the BODMAS rule then you may do the addition first and then the multiplication.
No:2. No wonder, by doing this you will end up receiving the wrong answer. You should always start solving the summation with the numbers and operations inside the bracket.
No:3. The BODMAS rule allows you to follow the right way of the multiple operations.
Where Can You Apply the BODMAS Rule?
No:1. You can only apply the BODMAS abbreviation rule where you are given several operations with numbers.
No:2. For single mathematical problems, there is no use of the BODMAS rule.
No:3. You will only find it useful while solving long complex summations with a series of operations.
