History of BBC
No:1. In October 1922, John Reith and George Villiers founded BBC.
No:2. On 14 November 1922, Marconi’s studio in London broadcast its first daily broadcast.
No:3. BBC received the Royal Charter in 1927 and the new title was selected for BBC which is British Broadcasting Corporation altered from British Broadcasting Company.
No:4. In November 1936, BBC launched its television service at Alexandra Palace, London.
No:5. BBC had to keep putting up the shutters for the television networks during World War II and instead managed to warn, educate and entertain the tv audience and fans on the radio at that period.
No:6. It broadcast a crowning ceremony for the Queen in 1953. The coverage of this ceremonial event has seen a broad scope of about 22 million people.
