History

No:1. AICTE is created in 1945 to plan and promote the growth of technical education in India.
No:2. Later, according to 1987 Act, it gets the constitutional status.
No:3. It has head quarter in New Delhi and its regional offices are in Kolkata, Kanpur, Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Gurgoan and Bhopal.

Usage

No:1. It was created to open new technical institutes in India.
No:2. It offers new courses in technical institutes.
No:3. AICTE recognizes colleges providing degree in engineering.
No:4. It is also responsible for maintenance of technical standards, accreditation of quality assurance and evaluation of technical education.
